The first Russian sawmill of the Mayr-Melnhof Holz Group is about 300 km to the East of St. Petersburg. The large scale sawmill is being constructed amidst extensive woodlands on an area of 20 ha. The forest enterprise Stroyles, which is part of the Mayr-Melnhof Holz Group, manages an area of 320,000 ha with a yearly harvesting volume of 500,000 solid cubic metres.
Corporate Management is currently actively engaged in realising modernisation and processing projects (e.g. pellet production).
The StrojLes-2 GmbH forestry business is part of the Mayr-Melnhof Holz Group and is a subsidiary company of the Mayr-Melnhof Holz sawmill at Efimovski.
Mayr-Melnhof Holz at Efimovski cultivates its own leasehold forest areas according to the most modern principles of sustainability.
The offices of StrojLes-2 are located about 330 km east of Saint Petersburg in the community of Efimovski, in the centre of the extensive local leasehold forests. These forests have a north-south extent of approximately 200 km and an east-west extent of some 120 km.
In total, the forestry business cultivates an area of 320,000 ha with a maximum permitted annual harvesting right of 575,000 solid cubic metres.
