The Gaishorn site now houses three plants for laminated and one for cross-laminated timber, plus a sorting plant and nineteen drying kilns.

The site in Gaishorn is the only site within the Mayr-Melnhof Holz Group which produces cross-laminated timber (MM crosslam). In 2008, the new production hall was built for this product and allows the production of elements for up to six houses a day. In Gaishorn elements can be produced up to 16.50 m length, 3.00 m width and thicknesses between 57 mm and 278 mm. Building with MM crosslam not only has environmental benefits but also enables a short construction time by dry construction. Due to the CNC joinery the prefabricated elements fit perfectly and the dry construction is also a benefit.Wood is a sustainable building material with the predicate to store and bind CO2. Building in wood opens the door to environmentally friendly building.

The site Gaishorn has an annual of 200,000 m³ glulam and 70,000 m³ cross-laminated timber. According to its capacity Gaishorn is one of the largest producer of glue laminated products in Europe.
