Captivating form, future-ready structure
In Odense, Denmark, Dymak – a globally operating company in the supply-chain sector – has moved into its new home. For the approximately 2,800 m², state-of-the-art headquarters, Mayr-Melnhof Holz Reuthe supplied 315 PEFC-certified glulam components, amounting to a total of 132 m³ of timber power. The MM masterline beams and columns not only provide structural stability, but they also shape the distinctive, circular building ensemble.

The new headquarters of the Danish supply-chain company Dymak impresses with its circular shape and distinctive, grid-like façade, reminiscent of traditional Danish timber-frame architecture.
The structure is based on 44 radially arranged, load-bearing frames made of cross-laminated timber (CLT) and glued laminated timber (glulam), which shape and support the entire building, including the roof and floor slabs. The wood is not only structurally essential, but it also defines the building’s appearance: the visible timber elements create a natural, warm atmosphere. The undulating roof is optimally positioned to capture solar energy throughout the year while simultaneously reducing noise in the courtyard.
The combination of timber frames and modern architecture results in a stylish, circularly organized office building with a high quality of stay. Inside, the building offers an open, connected office landscape with versatile work and leisure areas, including exhibition and communal spaces. The north side opens up to the expansive landscape, while the south side is protected from overheating by slats and vertical metal panels.
With its thoughtful design and the goal of achieving DGNB Gold and Heart certification, the Dymak headquarters sets new standards for forward-thinking construction.
