The sawmill Bergkvist Siljan Insjön specialises in the production of spruce from sustainably managed forests in the surrounding region for shipment in containers from the adjoining container terminal. About a quarter of the sawn timber production is either planed or ripped before dispatch.
The majority of sawn timber from the mill in Insjön is either used unprocessed in the construction industry or is further processed into high-quality structural glulam components, both within Europe and overseas.
Bergkvist Siljan Insjön AB became part of the Mayr-Melnhof Holz Group in 2022, and is PEFC (chain of custody) certified.
