The Mayr-Melnhof Holz location in Reuthe was established as Josef Kaufmann, Zimmermeister, Zimmerei & Treppenbau (“Master Carpenter, Carpentry & Stair Construction”) in 1952. The first glued laminated timber was made in 1958 with 3-ply concrete formwork panels being added in 1962 and concrete formwork beams in 1964. In 2004, the Holzindustrie Stallinger acquired the Kaufmann Group. Since the acquisition of Stallinger/Kaufmann Group by Mayr-Melnhof Holz in 2008, the Reuthe location has been part of the Mayr-Melnhof Holz Group.
